COOPER'S TOOL A set of French tools used for barrel making. The heavy 10" long iron mallet for putting in place the metal hoops and a special 15" long spike tool (resinatore) used for shaping the head of the barrels so that they could fit into a groove cut into the inside edge of the staves.
