18K VICTORIAN CAMEO BRACELET Victorian 18 karat gold hardstone cameo bangle. The three-colored carnelian cameo with three-dimensional portrait of two classical Greek figures in profile. The dexterity in the carving of this cameo is remarkable: note the helmet and armour of the soldier which details a winged figure in a horse drawn chariot, probably representing the Greek goddess Victory. Carving is Italian. The whole body of the bracelet in delicate gold scrollwork. Cameo was a versatile fashion accessory during 19th century in England.
